Painting in Crete Greece: Would you like to experience a different kind of holiday? Do you like to explore Crete in different ways? Try to imagine starting your day with pencil and paper in hand, sitting in the sun, on one side the sea, on the other side a beautiful mountains cape. Enjoy a different kind of holiday on Crete, which is creative, relaxing and fun! We offer you aquarelle and painting workshops, suitable for everybody.

Monday: Arrival and complementary drinks at Zorbas Beach. Tuesday: We will take you to the lovely village of Kalo Horio on Tuesday, where you will take part in your first painting/aquarelle lesson at the picturesque old windmill. This windmill was renovated in 2001; it provides a lovely little terrace, with a view to the mountains and the sea. In the evening you will enjoy a traditional Greek “meze” dinner at Zorbas Beach, you are welcome to join us at 8.00 PM. Wednesday: On Wednesday you will experience painting in the village of Kritsa, a large village close to Agios Nikolaos, which is built on a mountain. Kritsa offers lovely little streets, ateliers of several artists and hand-craft shops. In the afternoon we will visit the olive factory of Kritsa. Thursday: Our location on Thursday will be at the monastery “Moni Panagia Kera’. At night we will organize for you a “Zorbas Beach dinner party" Friday: On Friday you are going to visit the Venetian harbour of Heraklion and there you will also go painting. You are always able to wander around the centre of Heraklion, which offers several shops and restaurants. Saturday: On Saturday you will visit the authentic village of Ano Karouzano, a traditional village that has the decor of traditional dancing parties. You can also visit a beautiful kafenion there. The inhabitants of Ano Karouzano are expecting us. They will prepare a meal especially for the group. Ano Karouzano is a lovely quiet village. Dancing parties will be organized mostly on weekends or at night, so you can start painting in a relaxed atmosphere. At night you can enjoy an exhibition and barbeque at Zorbas Beach.

Included: accommodation in a comfortable apartment, usage of towels and bed linen, transportation to all the locations where you will go painting, transfer to the airport, workshop painting and aquarelle. Off course we offer you the possibility to bring a partner, friend (s), son or daughter to stay at Zorbas. Everybody is welcome, whether or not they participate in the workshop. They will only pay for the apartment: 875 euro per person for one week staying at Zorbas. Family Apartment: 620 euro per person for one week

There are several restaurants and taverns in the area if you like the traditional Greek kitchen. The sandy beach in Gournes is situated within five minutes walking distance of Zorbas.
