First day: Heraklion airport – Gournes  Pediados.  We will pick you up by arrival on the airport of Heraklion. We will bring you to your accommodation where you will receive your car. We will give you an extended briefing about your fly drive tour on Crete. We give you all information about our unique tour, because we don’t want to put too much information on the internet. Our tours are professionally designed, so you don’t have to miss anything about the beautiful island of Crete.

Second day fly drive Crete:  (Central East Crete) Gournes – Galifa – Galipe – Kasteli – Thrapsano – Arkalohori – Archanes – Knossos – Gournes. This tour is aproxemately 120 kilometer. Sight seeing: a tour through central Crete: A beautiful wine area, nice to visit the local wine factories and taste local wines. It is also an option to visit local olive factories, but these are not in use during the summer. Afterwards you will drive to Knossos, where you can visit the famous archaeological site Knossos.

Third day: (East Crete) Gournes – Potamies –  Krasi – Kera - Lassithi plateau – Tzermiado – Vrisses – Neapoli – Agios Nikolaos – Elounda. This tour is approximately 100 kilometre. Sight seeing: in Potamies you will find a lake under construction, surrounded by an impressive mountain landscape. Krasi: Krasi is a characteristic mountain village, on the market square you are able to find the largest tree of Crete and an old laundry place, where the mountain water runs through. It is nice to take a stroll through this village. Kera: you are able to visit the Moni Kardiotissas monastery and you will have magnificent views over the valleys. Lassithi Plateau: the plateau of Lassithi is an attraction the whole year around. If you make a tour around the Lasstihi plateau with your car, you will see a lot of interesting spots. You are also able to visit the birth cave of Zeus. You will also see lots of elderly Greek men on donkeys! After the villages of Psighrou you can find a nice tavern to enjoy your lunch: tavern Milos (milos means windmill). Milos is a very suitable name, because in the old years you could find thousands of wind mills on the Lassithi platea to pomp water from the ground. On the Lassithi plateau you will also find lots of agricultural harvesting.  After Lassithi you will drive towards Neapoli – Agios Nikolaos with lots of nature and beautiful views. Agios Nikolaos: Agios Nikolaos is a nice town for a break, you will find a lovely lake in the centre of the town. Elounda: here you will stay your second night! Elounda is famous world wide because of the TV series: “who pays the ferryman”. You can go on a boat trip after arrival, to visit the impressive island of Spinalonga. This island is an old lepra colony. Spinalonga is build in various styles: Venetian, Turkish and Gree. Every half hour a boat will leave for Spinalonga. In the evening you will find lots of tavenes to enjoy a delicious meal in the harbor.

Fourth dag: (East Kreta) (North and South coast)Elounda – Agios Nikolaos – Istro – Gournia – Sitia – Vai – Palekastro – Zakros – Ziros – Makrigialos – Koutsounari – Ierapetra – Mirtos. This tour is approximately 100 kilometre. Sight seeing: Istro offers you a beautiful coast line, with lovely islands in the sea on your left hand side. Vai: the only natural palm beach of Europe! If you arrive on time, you can enjoy a splendid view on Vai (what we mean is: a view without many tourists!). This oasis of palm trees has become famous because of the Bounty commercial from the eighties. The road from Vai to Ziros is a fantastic route through many small Cretan villages. If you arrive in Makrigialos you are able to enjoy a lunch on the South coat of Crete. You will continue your tour trough Ierapetra, this is the most south town in Europe. Ierapetra is situated on the Libian Sea, Africa is only 300 kilometre away! From Ieraptra you will drive through the agricultural “banana” area to Miros. A perfect village to relax on the beach and where you will also spend the night. Tip: on the beach road you will find an excellent Italian – Greek restaurant, with home made pasta! Here you can enjoy a delicious and affordable dinner. It is on walking distance from your accommodation.

Fifth day: (central South Crete) Mirtos – Ierapetra – Mirtos (a visit to Nissos Chrissi) Sight seeing: Nissos Chrissi is a beautiful island which you are able to visit. You will leave from Ierapetra by boat to this fantastic island. The boat trip is about 1 hour (the boat will leave at 10.00 o’clock from Ierapetra). You will arrive around 11.00 o’clock on Nissos Chrissi and will leave again by boat around 16.00 to Ierapetra. There are several taverns available on the island for lunch. You are able to find here fantastic sandy beaches on the South coast, you will forget you are in Europe! You will stay overnight in the same accommodation in Mirtos. This tour is approximately 30 kilometre.

Sixth dag: (Central South Crete) Mirtos – Ano Viannos -  Pirgos – Agia Deka – Mires – Festos – Matala –  Timbaki - Agia Galini. This tour is approximately 140  kilometre. Sight seeing: You will leave from Mirtos to Ano Viannos. Beautiful areas with lots of mountains, but you are able to see the South coast of Crete the whole day on your left hand site! Ano Viannos is a large village, nice for a quick stop. From Ano Viannos you will follow the road to Pirgos. Pirgos – Mires:  just outside the villages of Mires you will visit Festos. Here the Festos disc was discovered. The Festos disc was never solved. The Festos disc is many times used as symbol of Crete. Festos is a important archaeological finding. Fetsos is worth a visit. Festos – Matala: a nice tour to the sea side, Matala is an excellent beach resort. On your right you will find the famous “hippie” rocks, in the rocks are caves, where hippies used to live in the seventies. It was a real paradise during the seventies in Matala. Matala – Agia Galini: a tour with lots of good view to the South coast of Crete. Agia Galini: here you will stay overnight. A nice place to walk around in the evening and it offers you various possibilities to go out for dinner.

Seventh day: Agia Galini – Timbaki – Mires – Agia Vavara – Krousonas – Tilissos – Gonies – Anogia  - Axos – Perama – moni arkadiou – Adele – Prassies – Amari – Agia Galini. This tour is approximately 180  kilometre. Sight seeing: You will leave from Agia Galini towards Heraklion. This tour will take you to the Dia Mountains, a magnificent natures resort. In the afternoon you will visit the monastery Moni Arkadiou, with the impressive school.

Eight day: Agia Galini – Melambes – Nea Kna Virissi – Spili, Preveli – Agia Galini. This tour is approximately  180  kilometre. Sight seeing: Today you will visit the monasteries of Preveli. After your visit to the monastery, you can walk trough the water to the beach of Preveli, full of palm trees and small rivers, a fantastic natures resort. Ninth day: (South – West Crete, North – West Crete) Agia Galini – Spili – Frangokastello – Hora Sfakia – Askifou – Vrisses –  Souda – Chania. This tour is approximately  160  kilometre. You will leave Agia Galini in the direction of Spili, on your right hand side you will see the whole route the highest mountain of Crete: the Ida mountain (2456 meters). Spili – Frangokastello: a nice route through the South coast of Crete. In Frangokastello you will find a beautiful Venetian fort on the beach. Frangokastello – Hora Sfakia: this is a typical traditional Cretan village. This village was never occupied by any foreign troops during the war. All men are wearing black clothes in this village. Horo Sfakia is also the finish point for the hiker’s trough the Samaria gorge. Here arrive from late in the afternoon until the beginning of the evening boat with hikers from the Samaria gorge. Horo Sfakia – Chania: an impressive route trough the mountains, you will travel from South West Crete to North West Crete. Rough mountains and lots of traditional villages. You will stay overnight in Chania. Chania is the old capital of Crete, now Heraklion is the captital of Crete. Chania is a nice beautiful town, the second largest town of Crete. It has a beautiful old harbour, with the famous fire tower of Chania. A lovely town to explore and to enjoy a dinner at night.

Tenth day: (North-West en South-West Crete) Chania – Platanas – Maleme – Kissamos – Sfinari – Chrisoskalitssa – Elafonisi – Paleochora. This tour is approximately  120  kilometre. Sight seeing: From Chania you will leave towards North West Crete to Kissamos. You will drive on the North West coast of Crete. After Kissamos towards Chrisoskalitssa – Elafonisi. In Chrisoskalitssa you are able to visit an impressive monastery. Elafonisi: the natural rose sandy beach of Crete, a beautiful wide sand beach with a pink colour and crystal cleat water! Don’t miss a visit to Elafonisi. From Elafonisi to Paleochora: a nice rout with curvy roads. 12 kilometers might not seem so long, but it is when you drive through these curvy roads. Paleochora: this town is has on both side’s beaches and the sea! The roads will be closed during the evening for all traffic! All taverns and restaurants will place their chairs and tables in the middle of the roads. We advice you to take a walk through this town at night.

Eleventh day: You will leave early in the morning with the bus to the Samaria gorge. The Samaria gorge is an unique natures resort in Europe. The whole walk through this gorge is 16 kilometres; you will see here rocks that go straight up for 750 meters! Everybody with a normal condition can walk the Samaria gorge. At the eng of your walk you will arrive in Agia Roumeli. From this village you will go back by boat via Souga to Paleochora. You will sleep again in Paleochora. There is also a possibility to go the island of Gavdos instead of the Samaria gorge.

Twelfth day: Paleochora – Kandanos – Messavia – Kolimbari – afata – Drapanias – stovles – Agia Triada – Paleochora. This tour is approximately  140  kilometre. Sight seeing: An impressive tour to the Kolimbari.

Thirteenth day: (North-West en South- West Crete ) Paleochora – Omalos – Chania – Souda – Rethimnon. This tour is approximately  160  kilometre. Sight seeing: From Paleochora you will drive towards the Samaria gorge. Here you will find the plateau of Omalos, a beautiful area. From the high mountain plateau of Omalos you will drive in the direction of Chania, where you will find lots of orange trees. From Chania you will drive towards Rethimnon. This road is a highway; you will be within an hour in Rethimnon. Rethimnon is an nice old town with lots of narrow streets with plenty of shops and restaurants.

Fourteenth day:  Rethimnon – Armeni – Moni Porf. Ilias – velondo – Maroulou – kounara lake – Episkopi  - Gerani Cave – Rethimnon. This tour is approximately 120  kilometre. Sight seeing: The monastery of Moni Porf, Ilias, cave of Gerani and the sweet water lake of Kounara. A breath taking area between the Rethimnon canyons.

Fifteenth day: (North Crete)  Rethimnon – Bali – Ammoudara – Knossos – Heraklion – airport. This tour is approximately  100  kilometer. From Rethimnon you will leave in the direction of Heraklion (airport). If you fly in the morning, you can be from Rethimnon within an hour on the airport of Heraklion'.
