Sailing to the Greek islands: 5-day sailing trip to Milos, Kimolos and Poliegos with a Bavaria sailboat. We spend the night on board or in a luxury stone villa in Cyclades style on Milos (2 nights). The villa has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and toilets, a private swimming pool and an outside BBQ, with an impressive view of the bay of Milos and Kimolos.
Saturday 13/5 ot 7/10: Departure around noon from the Venetian port of Heraklion. We sail past Kimolos and Poliegos to Milos where we arrive the next day.
Sunday 14/5 or 8/10: in the beginning of the afternoon, we arrive at Milos. Here we stay 2 nights in the stone villa.
You can spend the rest of the Sunday on the island.
Milos, also called Melos, is the fourth largest island of the Cyclades islands (in the southwest of the Aegean Sea). The famous statue ‘the Venus of Milos’ (an image of Aphrodite) was once found on Milos, which is now on display in Paris in the Louvre. Milos is very beautiful because of its geological diversity. The island has a volcanic origin.
The island has three large villages: Adamas (Adamantas), Pollonia and the mountain village of Plaka (the capital of Milos). The largest village, where we arrive by boat, is Adamas. In the northeast is Pollonia which is one of the most popular seaside resorts. In both Adamas and Pollonia are many nice places to go out such as taverns and kafeneions. On Milos are some very special fishing villages with houses in the rocks with brightly colored doors.
Monday 15/5 or 9/10: We stay on and around Milos this day and have 2 options. Or we explore the island with a rental car or sail around the island to hidden bays.
Tuesday 16/5 or 10/10: In the morning we leave for Kimolos. We have lunch on the island and sail back to Heraklion via Poliegos.
Wednesday 17/5 or 11/10: Arrival in Heraklion.
