Accommodation, seasons, atmosphere and culinary delights. Zorbas Island is located in Kokkini Hani, 15 kilometres from Heraklion. We open at the beginning of April and close mid November. During this period we focus on creating a homely atmosphere where guests immediately feel at home.
Target groups by season
High season (summer): aimed at families, but also at couples and singles. Special activities are organised for young people, such as football and supervised trips to the Water Park on Saturdays, so that parents have time for other activities.
Early and late season (March–June/September–November): generally, the focus is on couples and singles.
Facilities: in addition to the apartments and holiday homes, there is a private tavern, bar and restaurant on Zorbas Island.

Culinary & atmosphere: morning ritual by the sea. Every morning, you can enjoy a cosy breakfast on Zorbas’ terrace with a breathtaking view of Dia Island and the Aegean Sea. Think about fresh orange juice and a delicious cappuccino.
Authentic dinner and conviviality: every evening, authentic Greek cuisine is served to guests (à la carte or buffet) in a homely and cosy atmosphere. Nothing is compulsory, everything is allowed! You dine under the starry sky, by the pool and by the sea, with a spectacular view of Dia Island and the Aegean Sea.
Local, organic products: the food is based on fresh, locally sourced organic products. We use vegetables from our own vegetable garden, olives and even bananas grown on the Zorbas complex. We regularly prepare meals in the wood-fired oven, fuelled by olive wood from our own olive grove.
Entertainment: there is regular entertainment such as a pub quiz, a music quiz, or live Greek music during dinner. In addition, there is a BBQ every Saturday and gyros every Sunday.
