Here you find an example of a program we have for a painting holiday on Crete
Monday: Arrival and a welcome meal at Zorbas Island in Kokkini Hani.
Tuesday: We will take you to the lovely village of Kalo Horio on Tuesday, where you will take part in your first painting/aquarelle lesson at the picturesque old windmill. This windmill provides a lovely little terrace, with a view to the mountains and the sea. In the evening you will enjoy dinner at Zorbas Island from 20.00 hours.
Wednesday: On Wednesday you will experience painting in the village of Kritsa, a large village close to Agios Nikolaos, which is built on a mountain. Kritsa offers lovely little streets, ateliers of several artists and hand-craft shops. In the afternoon we will visit the olive factory of Kritsa.
Thursday: Our location on Thursday will be at the monastery “Moni Panagia Kera’. At night we will organise for you a “Zorbas Island dinner party”.
Friday: On Friday you are going to visit the Venetian harbour of Heraklion and there you will also go painting. You are always able to wander around the centre of Heraklion, which offers several shops and restaurants.
Saturday: On Saturday you will visit the authentic village of Ano Karouzano, a traditional village that has the decor of traditional dancing parties. You can also visit a beautiful kafenion there. The inhabitants of Ano Karouzano are expecting us. They will prepare a meal especially for the group. Ano Karouzano is a lovely traditional village. Dancing parties will be organised mostly on weekends or at night, so you can start painting in a relaxed atmosphere. At night you can enjoy an exhibition and barbecue at Zorbas Island.
What’s included?
Included: accommodation in a comfortable apartment, usage of towels and bed linen, transportation to all the locations where you will go painting, transfer to the airport, workshop painting and aquarelle. Off course we offer you the possibility to bring a partner, friend(s), son or daughter to stay at Zorbas Island. Everybody is welcome, whether or not they participate in the workshop.
