Island hopping to Karpathos: Karpathos is an island located approximately 230 km northeast of Crete. From Heraklion, we take the ferry via Dia, Sitia, Vai, Dragondad, Elasa, and Kassos (where the ferry stops) to Karpathos.

Get ready for an unforgettable trip to beautiful Karpathos! From 5 to 8 May 2026, we will be island hopping to Karpathos. The adventure begins in the port of Heraklion, Crete. The ferry will take us to breathtaking Karpathos, stopping at several charming islands along the way, making the journey itself an experience.

Our home base on Karpathos: during our four-day, three-night stay, we will be staying in beautiful accommodation, right in the bustling capital of Karpathos. From here, we will discover the hidden treasures of the island together.

Karpathos: discover undiscovered Greece: Karpathos, one of the most beautiful islands in the Dodecanese, is the perfect destination for those looking for authentic Greece. It is easy to get there by car, via a ferry from Crete. Once there, we explore the island by car, away from mass tourism. Here you will find a rugged landscape with breathtaking views, hidden bays with crystal clear water and traditional villages where time seems to have stood still. In the south of the island, you will find beautiful sandy beaches, perfect for sunbathing and swimming.

But the heart of Karpathos lies in its charming villages. Visit the photogenic Olympos, where women still wear traditional costumes and the houses are built against the mountainside. Or explore Pigadia, the lively capital with its cosy harbour and tavernas. Karpathos is an island that you don’t just visit, but experience. It is a place where you can truly feel Greek hospitality, where the local cuisine will delight your taste buds and where every sunset creates an unforgettable memory.

This is an overview of our 2026 programme. We can choose from the excursions listed below on Karpathos. You can indicate which ones you like; two excursions, such as the boat trip and “unknown Karpathos”, are included in any case.

Immerse yourself in Karpathian culture: Immerse yourself in the authentic life of Karpathos during a fascinating tour of unknown Karpathos along the most picturesque villages. You will visit four of the twelve characteristic villages and learn about centuries-old traditions. Aperi and Othos: the tour starts in green Aperi, where you can admire the impressive bishop’s church. Then you will go to the high-altitude village of Othos. Here you will get a glimpse into a traditional Karpathian house, where you will discover how the inhabitants used to live. Pyles and Mesochori: in Pyles, you will enjoy the serene surroundings and walk to a refreshing water source. The highlight is Mesochori, a fairytale village with narrow, car-free streets and endless steps. You will feel as if you have stepped back in time.

Immerse yourself in Karpathian culture

The most beautiful beaches and bays by boat on Karpathos: ready for a day full of sun, sea and relaxation? Step aboard the ‘Love Boat’ for an unforgettable beach tour along the most spectacular bays. Kyra Panagia: the first stop is at this famous bay, where the clear blue water invites you to take a refreshing dip. Apella: the boat then sails to the secluded and peaceful Apella beach. Here you can enjoy a well-deserved break and a delicious Greek lunch consisting of chicken souvlaki, salad and fresh bread. Achata: on the way back to Pigadia, you make one last stop at Achata beach for a quick, refreshing dip. A perfect day to relax and enjoy the beautiful coastline of Karpathos.

Boat trip to the mythical island of Saria: sail to the uninhabited island of Saria, named after a mythical Greek princess. This island is the embodiment of pure, unspoilt beauty. Spend the day diving in bays with water that is bluer than blue, listening to the silence on deserted beaches and walking along the rugged coastline. This is the ideal tour for lovers of unspoilt nature.

Taste Karpathos: wine, honey and local flavours

Discover the authentic flavours of the island during this tasty tour. You will start with a visit to a local beekeeper in Pigadia. Here you will see how the famous Karpathian honey is made and taste the sweet nectar. Then you will go to the village of Menetes. Wander through the charming streets with whitewashed houses and soak up the atmosphere of this timeless village. The tour ends at the Scarpanto winery, where you can taste the local wines.

Make your own mosaic

Make your own mosaic in a beautiful vineyard: want to escape the hustle and bustle and let your creativity run wild? Then this mosaic workshop is for you! We organise a fun and relaxing workshop in the beautiful vineyard of Mattsson Winery. While enjoying a drink and the Greek sun, you will create your own work of art that you can take home with you as a unique souvenir of your trip.

The magic of a sunset dinner: experience an unforgettable evening and discover the authentic villages of Karpathos, complete with a sunset dinner. From the capital Pigadia, you will drive through the green slopes of Mount Hamali, overlooking the rugged coastline. You will visit the highest village of Othos, where the houses lie against the hill like a whitewashed amphitheatre. Here you will explore the folklore museum and a gallery full of handmade art. The tour ends in the fairytale village of Mesochori, where you will end the day with an al fresco dinner in a traditional taverna. Enjoy the authentic flavours as the sun slowly sets and paints the sky in the most beautiful colours.
