In short: whether you come alone, with your family or with your company, there is something for everyone. And the best part? You can come on holiday with us most of the year.
Zorbas Island Apartments: Zorbas Island is located a 15-minute drive from Heraklion, the capital of Crete, in the village of Kokkini Hani and near Gournes. Kokkini Hani and Gournes are villages on the north coast of Crete with many sandy beaches. In Kokkini Hani, you will find several supermarkets, shops, coffee bars, pharmacies, tavernas, a laundromat and an ice cream parlour. Everything is less than a 5-minute walk from our complex. There are several ATMs within walking distance of your apartment. From Kokkini Hani, you can take the local bus every half hour (in summer) to Heraklion, Chersonissos, Malia or Agios Nikolaos.

Beach at Zorbas Island (sandy beach): The accommodation is located directly on the sea with a sandy beach on its doorstep. It is a wonderful place to relax on a sun bed and take a dip in the sea. If you feel like something to eat or drink, we will simply bring it to you on the beach. Sun beds and parasols are available for our guests to use free of charge. For water sports activities, walk a few minutes further to a larger sandy beach. Here you can enjoy all kinds of water sports, such as jet skiing, water skiing, banana boating, etc.
Taverna Zorbas: In our taverna, with a beautiful view of the island of Dia, we are happy to serve you breakfast, lunch and dinner. The taverna is located next to the swimming pool and the bar. On the terrace, we have a complete outdoor kitchen with a grill house where the most delicious dishes are prepared. At the end of the afternoon, you can enjoy our culinary skills when we prepare typical Greek grill dishes or a BBQ. Our swimming pool is excellently maintained and suitable for everyone. We are always at your service to make you feel at home and ensure that you have everything you need.

Next to our taverna is the path to the apartments. Surrounding the apartments are our gardens, where we grow some of our own vegetables and herbs. You will also find banana trees, aloe vera, cacti, grapes and many other plants and flowers. Many of the plants and flowers you will find in our gardens do not grow in Northern Europe.
All our apartments have a veranda or terrace and almost all have a sea view. Your apartment has an open kitchen with a refrigerator, 2-burner hob, kettle, cooking utensils and crockery. The bathrooms are equipped with a shower, toilet and hairdryer.
Our apartments are suitable for stays in both summer and winter. The apartments are well insulated and all have air conditioning. Wi-Fi is available throughout the complex, so you don’t have to miss out on anything online.

There is ample parking available at the apartments. We offer a wide range of excursions and activities, so you will never be bored. We organise our excursions exclusively for our own guests and show you the real Crete, where others do not go. We offer every guest the option of half board: our Greek taverna guarantees a very varied menu. All our dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients and lots of vegetables, fruit and herbs from our own garden. Half-board reservations include our extensive BBQ and meze evenings. Dinner is served between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Our dinner offers a wide choice for everyone, including children. Our breakfast starts at 8.30 a.m. and ends at 10.30 a.m. and consists of coffee, tea, milk, juice and water, fresh brown and white bread, yoghurt, cornflakes, muesli, chocolate pops, ham, cheese, jam, chocolate spread, a choice of different egg dishes and/or pancakes and fruit.
If you follow a special diet, are vegetarian or vegan, or cannot eat certain foods, we will be happy to adapt our menu for you. Greek cuisine is particularly well suited to this, as we always cook with fresh ingredients. Please let us know in advance so that we can take this into account. Our chef will be happy to discuss surprisingly delicious adapted dishes with you.

At Zorbas Island, there are no fixed arrival or departure days. If you would like to come, please do not book a flight ticket without consulting us first. We will then let you know which arrival days we still have apartments available for. We can easily arrange transfers to and from the airport for you. And if you need help finding the right flights, we are happy to assist you.
